Default Best time for an oil change?

Strange title I know, but, I just thought of this. When is the best time to change the oil in your evo?, right after a ride, 10 min, 20 min, when it's been sitting outside all day in 75-80 temps?. Just want to make sure I get the most oil out I can. Thanks guys

Lol, already got the oil and filter. I'd tell you what I'm using, but I'm sure it would start a poop storm haha

If I can say Rotella and a Wix filter, and it doesn't start a **** storm, I think you'll be ok.

I change after a ride... when things are still usually a little too hot to touch for long, but I'm a masochist.

Well your 1/2 right lol, I'm going to use a motorcraft FL-400s. It's just a little longer than the M1-102 that's on there now. Plus!, I walked out of Wally World having spent only 16.00$ flat for filter and 3 quarts of rotella!.

Can't go wrong with the Rotella, at all. It is a fine oil and will work perfect for your evo. I did run the M1-102 for about 50 miles... only had it on there to aid in getting some gas out of the oil system; was running castrol GTX 10w-40 on that go around. I will say that the top end wasn't any noisier with the 10w-40 gas burner oil vs. a heavier 15w-40 made for a compression operated motor. Pour out a quart of 10w-40mc oil or car oil, and then a quart of rotella... the stuff is definitely a little thicker. I have been wanting to try valvoline VR1 since it's only a little bit more expensive than the rotella but I can't really see it being any better other than the fact you can get it in 20w-50.
