So I was filling up today. And for the first time since buying the bike it overflowed after I put the gas cape back on. The paint on it is rattle can with no clear coat I think. Well paint starting to come off so going need another paint job. Here the question what a good brand rattle can that will last if gas get on it. Or what a good process should I use a clear coat etc. any help or idea what worked for y'all what didn't work
I've never used but read good things about it a few years ago when I needed a fuel proof clear coat. I ended up selling the bike before I got around to it. Just double check what you spray over for compatibility.
I've had pretty good luck with Rustoleum products. You might buy a can of the color of your choice and experiment with it. If you want black or white, Rustoleum Appliance paint is seriously tough stuff. People building AK's use it for the receivers.
