Go to your nearest Dealer and look at the used bikes on the lot that have aftermarket exhausts. Get them to start the bike(s) so you can compare the sounds.
I have the Vance & Hines Monster Rounds on my 2016 Ultra Limited Low and they have a nice deep tone. They don't sound to loud when riding and do not interfere with the stereo system.
My wife says she can hear me coming up the block even though I don't think it is that loud on the bike but the low deep tone travels but is not annoying.
I also installed an Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner and Vance & Hines FP3 tuner.
As said I would also check out the crusher mufflers. The mavricks look sweet. I had the crusher power cell exhaust on my dyna and was impressed with them. Although that was a full exhaust, kuryakyn makes some quality exhaust
I'm looking for a new exhaust and Im really leaning towards the crusher power cell head pipe with the maverick mufflers.

CFRs are a touch loud for my taste, but my buddy let me ride his with a set, and boy do they sound good. Nice thump when cruising and putting around, and will wake the neighbors up when you want
That being said, I got a deal on 4" Jackpots and I'm not complaining
