Default Exhaust

Thanks everyone for all your input on changing pipes or slip ons, I'm still confused. I have a 04 Fatboy w/ fuel injection. I want to put on a set of Python3 slip on's. No changes to the intake, just for a little better sound. performance not a big issue unless it gets worse. It seems like there is so many different opions on remaping. One dealer says it fine not to map as long as you don't change the intake, another say's you must remap. I have read this forum and other forums and kind of get the same answer. Any imput on this would be appreciated. Thank you so much.

If your only putting on slip-ons you really don't have to remap. HD recommends it and I would if it was me but you don't have to.

I heard that you need a intake too.

That is what my dealer told me.

They are not expensive. Maybe 100 dollers?

You don't have to have an intake. It's better and recommended to get one and if you do you should definitely remap.

cvhome, I ran my Heritage for 6300 mile's with SEII's on with modified baffle's with no problem, then I put the stage1 ac kit and the remap and it really brought the bike to life. So can you run it that way, sure, will it run it's best that way, no.
