Engine noise
First of all, being a new Harley owner for a year and having this forum to reference to is God sent. The 00' Softail Heritage TC 88 makes a revolving noise sometimes when idling. Only noticed since replacing drag pipes with Cobra dragsters. And changing today the fluid the dealer sold me for gear oil for tranny, that I heard here. Sometimes itpurrs like a kitten. then others it makes that noise that bothers me. Oh, 20w-50w Harley oil in engine. dealer changed primary.

What kinda noise?? a knock?....just an FYI your on a Harley....your gonna hear noises....nine time soutta ten it;s nothin...the old saying is "Chasing noises on a harley will drive you insane", now having said that if your really concerned have a tech listen to it, they should be able to identify where it is coming from and if it is a problem...over the internet very difficult
