Hello there, I'm doing an exhaust upgrade r&r header pipes. When I first started removing heat shields, I checked out the flange nuts and studs. They were really rusty. I remember someone mentioning a rust penetrent
called Kroil. So I went to the nearest Tractor Supply store to get some. It's not a big spray can and it is pretty expensive. However, I sprayed some on the studs and removed the mufflers. I went back to the header studs, I took my trusty ratchet, extension, and universal socket and gave it a shot. Threads looked cleaner before I started to remove them. Seems as if Kroil is the sh**. Everyone of them came off without a hitch. The
whole exhaust system is off. I'm a happy camper and
I went and had a couple beers to celebrate.
