I live in the Phoenix area.On the 98 kit do you recommened the Timken crank bearing conversion.Since the 98 kit is a moderate build and if so do you do the conversion as well.Or do you send it out to another place?I am not looking for a monster build, just something for road trips and around town. Reliable with usable power and within a moderate budget. One more question since I live in Phoenix do you do the 98 kit at your shop and dyno etc ? thx
I did not ask about bearing changes and he did not volunteer. (If he did, I don't remember)
He did my conversion in his shop (garage).
Mine has enough usable torque for two-up touring without being unmanagable. Which is exactly what I wanted. He asked me a bunch of questions about my riding style, usage, and aftermarket mods before he recomended a build.
I have to put some more miles on it before he will do the dyno and final tuning.
