I take ownership of a Rocker C tomorrow. I traded in my V-Rod. So I am looking to do some upgrades to compensate for the loss of power from the differnce in the twobikes.
Personally I have little to no mechanical skills. I did have a K&N air cleaner, Power Commander and V-Modded pipes on the V-Rod. So I was thinking about SE Stage I air cleaner kit or the SE "Heavy Breather" performance air cleaner kit. When it comes to the pipes I like the Vance and Hines Big Radius or the Big Radius 2 into 1. Need some insight as to which will give me the best performance. And finally I want to go back with the Power Commander.
Do I get the dealership to get the items for me if they will, I know I have to get the SE parts, but what about the other items?
I got a few months before riding season starts again. So time is not an issue. Especially since Vance and Hines has not come out with pipes for the Rocker yet, even though you do see them on a few bikes on the board.
Best bet is to let the dealer install a 103 with low to mid cams preferably gear drive cams with race tunermhi flow and dyno tune and break-in. I wold use a vance and hines 2into 1 pro-pipe. Get the full list of prices and labor and then by having bought the bike leverage the upgrades by some 20% off discount Extended warranties are also negioiatable. bargain hard and you may do better. Installing this stuff before taking delivery usually will save you taxes and/or get you 2 years warranty on the installed parts.
