When I do the cam bearings and tensioners in my 99 FLHT, Is there any reason why I should have to replace the cam brearing plate? Unless it's worn bad for some un-godly reason. I checked with Harley tech and they told me motor was born April 26,1999.
As much as I love me TC88, Harley Davidson really pooped a big one this time.

Nope. Go back in with Timken B148 inner bearings. Depending on the mileage and cam hardness wear you might want to drop a new set of stock cams in as well as lifters unless you want to change out to a different cam all together.
