After having heads milled (>.060") I was getting some rubbing on one tube, guess which one..? Yep, the front exh(ain't that always the one?)! Anyhow,I just installed a set of the new SE tapered p-rods to hopefully cure the prob. These new p-rods areslick! Same 24 TPI asthe original SE's, less mass weight, each rod is marked w/INT or EXH, & each has a dot on one flat (saves me from using the ole paint pen).I really like these new p-rods! Now if it'd just quit raining so I can get back to riding...!!
I hope they cured your rubbing problem as I purchased the same to usewith my cam swap. Did you follow the enclosed instructions or use another method for adjustment. By the way I noticed you have Fatcats installed. Any tips, my luck Fatcat instructions were generic in nature and not specific to FLH models. Does the header mount on top or below the trans bracket? Which exhaust gaskets did you use?
They're the same TPI so I installed/adjusted em just like I always did the old ones...
I've had my FC's awhile & don't recall specifics on the install, except that (like you say) the instructions were sorta vague. I use these exh gaskets:

Are you saying these new adjustable push rods should cure the rubbing problem others have complained about. I am looking to do a cam upgrade and need to buy some new adjustable push rods.
