Default se adjustable push rods

I am getting lazy to pull the rockers off to change cams
Anyone have problems with the quickie se pushrods after time
Last 2 bikes I left old pushrods
Reason no adjusting and lighter
Maybe I am wrong and wasting time on cam install
Any feedback welcome
Thanks

A bit light on info, but in general adjustable pushrods are a breeze. Cut the old ones and install new ones. Obvously taking care to not rotate engine until the ones you just did bleed down. I don't know if you are wasting your time on cam install. That is your call, but if you install new cam you can't reuse the original pushrods... unless you like valves through your pistons.

Edit: I don't know if you would actually have any clearance problems with "just" new cams. I'm thinking new lifters, heads cut, head gasket, etc that I am doing. I guess I wouldn't take the chance..

I have SE Adjustables in mine with Andrews 26 cams and about 30000 miles on them...No issues. My bike actually runs a lot more quite.

I've been using the same set of SE tapered pushrods since 2010, I've never had a problem with them. I've changed cams several times, they have never loosened up as some have reported. Since I have found a set of cams I feel work with my build (TW 888's) I will readjust them this winter and apply a drop of red Loctite as a precaution. I don't foresee a teardown for a couple years, but I'll use the same pushrods at that time if they appear unscathed.

stock 2014 103
I am installing 57h Andrews
Had 54 h in my 2012 like them no issue at all with coil bind
Building a spring compressor for heads on bike
My change springs latter but not on this install
I had adjustable on my big dog but that's the way it came
When I changed cam it was an evo motor no problems

notgronup makes sense that you can adjust the center of lifter better

Thanks for help
I am going to get a bolt cutter and do some work

The only PITA is keeping the tubes "up" out of the way. If you buy the FuelMoto adjustables, the kit comes with a tool to keep them up and open in front so you can adjust easily.

Yea. Saw the kit at the dealer yesterday. Didn't notice if it has a tool to prop up the tubes like the FM.

I have had the SE tapered adjustables for at least 3 years, no issues. You use clothespins to hold up the tubes, no need for a "tool" to hold them up.

If you apply red Loctite, you'll convert them to one piece pushrods! Suggest blue so you can undo them in the future, should work just fine. Adjustable pushrods have been used in innumerable engines for decades with no Loctite at all, so blue will be fine.

Also, I personally highly recommend using adjustable pushrods. They are worth their price in convenience for certain. SE makes a good pushrod, there are other excellent manufacturers too, but the Screamin' Eagles will work better than fine!
