I am planning to get a high flow A/C , I know this thread has been discussed to death beleive me I used the search feature for 2 days so I won't bother the old timers with my stupid question.
Ok so I read in the DYI forum that if you install a big sucker along with new pipes you will probably need to rejett.
Now here's the think I have a rinehart T/D already on my bike (was on bike when I bought) dunnoif it was re-jetted or notI just wanna add a high flow do I need to re-jett? I am thinking of getting the K&N kit RK-3910 or 3909 don't matter. How do I know if I needed to rejett, what are the symptoms after the install? would I damage the engine if I didn't do the necessary re-jetting? or it would just ride crappy
Best way to tell is if she is running hotter then before is tokeep an eye on your spark plugs, they should burn tan, if they are white re-jet to a bigger port...
As for damaging the engine, HD has these bikes running so lean they qualify for hunger releaf....
