Everyone on the board and around the net says that if I put the Rush 2.0 on my Electra Glide (2008) I do not have to go with Hi Flo kit or power commander. I get them in a couple of days and am excited about putting them on.
One more time put my mind to rest, any of you out there ran these slip ons without the hi-flo and commander. Everything is OK right?
I can look down the road to adding these things so I guess just give me some information from people who have done this.
Thanks to all, it is the excitement of adding to the bike coupled with the fear you do everything right or you could do some damage. I can't wait to hear it with the Rush's on, I don't want my buddy telling me he did not hear me come up to the house.
Have already put money into the looks and love every minute of finding stuff and making the bike mine.
You'll be fine. I ran them on my 08 Street Glide for about 400 miles with no problems. Recently I put a Vance & Hines FuelPak ($207.00 on Ebay) with a Screamin Eagle STG-1 kit, and got way better performance.
Hey lionpride rush mufflers way to go the best I think. I am running 2 inch baffles nice loud sound on my 07 fat boy. The mufflers are basically straight pipes they are not muffled at all. Thats what makes them sound so great. I am running a daytona twin tech fuel pack to adjust for a richer fuel mixture. I just put in the K & N high flow air cleaner. You have to enrich the fuel mixture the new harleys run lean. If you dont enrich your fuel you are going to run way to lean. No good!!The Harley machine is a giant air pump you need more fuel. With the new slipons you are going to run more lean. You must make adjustments bro.
Thanks that is what I was after. Is this stuff something I can do or do I need to do it at the shop. I have a great little Indy garage in Frisco, Texas I use and they are much more reasonable than the dealer.
Don't want to do something stupid and hurt the bike. I am having way to much fun to screw this up.
