Tapping from topend
I recently noticed a napping/ticking noise coming from the topend of what sounds like the rear cylinder on my 1995 sportster 883 w/ 1200 kit. I was told when it was in the shop for something else that i needed a rocker cover gasket and while the mechanic was in there he might as well do a valve adjustment. I read something yesterday that says 1986 and newer models all have hydraulic lifters (no adjustment). i was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on what else it may be? I was told that it could be the lifters themselves. Any input is greatly appriciated! Thank you!!
