Anyone running the new D&D Low Cat? Performance? Sound with Standard Baffles?
I am thinking this might be the answer to my scraping FatCat problem and with the Big Bore baffles, might be a nice match for my 107" which would not likely warant a Boarzilla.
From reading the description on the D&D site, it's basically a FatCat that is swept up in the back for Softails & Dynas.
One a 107, you definitely don't want a Boarzilla. I'd even recommend sticking with a std baffle, not the pref (bigbore) baffle. I've been running a FatCat w/perf baffle on my 120, which is better than the zilla was on the same bike/build.
I am gonna give the Rinehart 2into1 a shot, as it's kinda like a "tweener", as it has 1.875" (compared to 1.750" on the FC) primaries, but does not step up to 2" like the zilla. Again, this is a 120, not a 107. You will loose bottom end with a zilla on the smaller motors.
Are you sure about that Dan? reading the D&D site, it indicates it's like the FatCat ~ 1.750" first step size. If that's true, then I agree that it's perfect for his build.
If it's like a zilla & it 1.875" first step, then it may noy be "just right" for his build.
Also, didn;t you say you had a VPC for your Pro-Clutch? Can you PM me some info on that VPC? I have not found anything on it. Thanks!
Yup you are right phil. It the same diameters are the regular fatcat, but has a similiar upsweeping look like a softail boarzilla. I just checked the site and saw it was updated with a pic.. http://www.danddexhaust.com/catalog/2008/06/53831.htm
Phil...have you tried out that RH 2 into 1 yet. Dying to see what that does for you. Still lovin my Zilla and can't give up that low end bark that it makes. Been playing around with a few different maps on mine, but power is still within a couple points of the best dyno run performed. Taking it to the track next week to see what it lays down in the quarter. Let me know how the Rinehart pipe works for you.

Reason: added
Before I read all this I ordered the pipe with the Big Bore baffles...hoping it works for me..to be honest, I like LOUD, immature, I know. My build is a 107" HQ Sport tour (575 Cams and 10.5:1 Compression) so it is not one of the monster builds I read about here but it is no slouch ether :-) Will report back on the pipe when it's on. Won't likely be for a month though as I am picking up the pipe when I go to the US Sept 25...I'm from Canada eh so by that time the riding season is winding down but I will hope to book some miles before hibernating the bike (and likely spending a bunch more money on it). Any more feedback is welcome!
