Default Head Bolt Torque - '06 Softail

Doing the 103" kit on a '06 Heritage and wondering if there's a recommended head bolt torque value that can be used rather than the factorys 14 ftlb plus 1/4 turn method. I've rebuilt several evos and always used around 38 - 42 ftlbs with luck(pulled these numbers from the Nightrider sight years ago). I've done the 1/4 turn method, just doesn't seem that accurate when I"m trying to eyeball where to put the marks. Any suggestions?

Just pulled up the "General Instruction Sheet" from the NRHS site. They recommend torque in the following sequence: 9, 14, 22, 35, and then 42. Repeat the 42 step. Hoping someone comes on here to tell this is fine for this bike.

Sounds good to me. Half the stuff on this bike is NRHS. I believe they have been there and done it.
and HD is figuring you to use their gaskets which has a lot of crush.
