I have short shots with no baffles on my NT and in town I love it, I just love how loud it is and how it cackles when I am down shifting to a stop. I took a nice ride with a few other guys out through the country last night on some hilly roads and I was really annoyed at the popping and cackling when I was going down the twisty hills and wanted some assistance from the motor to keep the speed down.

I hear ya! What??? Just kidin!
I just get tiered of people not seeing you and I figure maybe it'd be a good way to let em know your around.
When ever i come up on someone pulling out to traffic, and I'm the only obstacle for em, I slow down a bit, pull the clutch in and get em some db's. It seems to be loud enough 50% of the time but never enough.
On the other hand when I'm out with the Mrs. what I have get's to be too much some times.
So, I'm just wondering what everyone here is doing.
Sure you can pull them. It might feel faster becuase its louder, but i wont be...
Baffles= backpressure=some(preferably more) is almost always good on a street bike.
I don't know about HP, but I could tell I was down on torque when I remove mine for an afternoon. I prefer torque to hp with my riding style. Pull them and find out for yourself.
