leaking gas
I have a 99 Fatboy with 6500 miles on it. I bought it last fall and I've put 1000 of the miles on it. My problem is that when I got home yesterday I noticed gas leaking out of the bottom of the motor where the seam is below the crankshaft. Apparently its been doing it for some time due to the sludge buildup on the very bottom. I cleaned it up and have watched the gas come through that seam and drip, its not coming from somewhere else and running down. The fuel valve is closed and is new. The carb was cleaned the beginning of spring. This probably explains why I ran out of gas last week with around 90 miles on the tank - I thought I didn't fill up all the way. Any suggestions or ideas?
