Hey guys, Just bought my 2006 street glide and I love it. The first thing I want to do to it is get a great sounding exhaust to release that famous Harley sound. I was told if I want a really deep low bassey sound, I need to get a set of Reinhart slip ons. ANyone else out there have any ideas of sugestions on good deep exhaust pipes. I am looking to do the stage 1 screaming eagle intake and the correct download when I do the pipes, will doing any of this void my warranty?
Thanks for the help, guys!
If the Rinehart slip-ons sound anything like my Rinehart True Duals...................then yes that will give you a great deep sound.
Get the Ness Big Sucker air cleaner, $90 online, it's build better and looks better.
Skip the HD download, it won't work for you and it's a waste of $150. Get a Power Commander IIIusb, $270 online, and you'll be good for whatever mods you do.
buy any quality slip on with removable baffles...then cut em, or modify em a little at a time til they give you the sound you want....some of these guys will buy slipon after slipon lookin for the sound they want...what a foolish waste of money....ALL slip ons are a big resonatin tube....its the baffles that change how much they flow...how much backpressure...and THE SOUND....i've finally got my V&H slash cuts just the way i want em...first i cut 4" out of the middle and welded the two caps together, rewrapped em and it was better...then i pulled the wrapping off....better still....then i whacked off the front cap...lots better and i can tell its breathing now...but this morning, i drilled three 1/2" holes equal spaced around the outside rim of the baffle to let out alittle pressure from gasses that are trapped on the outside edge of the baffle....wallla baby...perfecto....all you need is a chop saw and a set of slip ons....go for the true duals and slipons...its cool
