Default TC88 vibration

I have a 2006 Dyna with a TC88 and 6 speed trans. It has a vibration in the motor around 2500 rpms. I know Harleys vibrate, but 2500 rpm is where the motor runs when I am running about 60mph down the road and it is anoying. I was thinking of installing a 95" big bore kit to try to move the vibration to a different rpm range (bigger pistons weigh more). Any ideas on this.

Check every bolt on the engine mounts, floorboards, handlebars and the exhaust, etc, etc first.
Unusual vibration, on any kind of machine, is many times caused by something not tight enought.
Not to mention wheel balance.

Yup, and on a dyna, make extra sure the exhaust is snug and not rubbing/binding anywhere. Some dyna's vibrate more than others for some reason. But sometime chasing a vib down is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I would like to ask a question about this as I have been fighting a vibration at around the same rpm and this might help original poster as well,on my bike as the rpm's go up the motor smooths out when I let off and the motor rpms drop I get a bad vibration through the floor boards and I can also feel it through the handlebars once idling the motor is real smooth, can I rule out the vibration coming from the motor internally as the motor seems to get smoother the higher the rpms go and look for something like motormounts(engine alignment) or even maybe a bad primary bearing?

Thats pretty much what mine is doing also. The higher the rpm the smoother it runs. I have a 6 speed transmission but I cruse down the road in 5th gear just to keep the rpms around 3000.

You want to check the front motor mount. My Ultra vibrated pretty bad until I noticed the nut and washer were missing from mine. Dealership probably overlooked that when the rebuilt my motor back in the winter. Also makes for some racket especially above 3000 rpm's.
