Backfiring and blueing
I had a Sceamin Eagle stage one air cleaner/download and Cycle Shack slip ons installed on my 2000 FLTRI at a HD dealer. From the get go on deceleration it would pop/backfire. After about 1500 mi. the bike got really loud and got a 6" gold band about 6" from the front of the R/H slipon. My Harley dealer claims the bike wasn't tuned for the slipons my beef is that when they installed the down load and slipons at the same time that they should have tuned them at that time of install. Any thoughts or comments?

When the slip ons were installed there was a exhaust leak which I took care of by replacing the clamps. One thing I have noticed when I blip the throttle to downshift is when I get the most popping and there's a lot of carbon on the end of the pipes.
