Without knowing more info about the engine, it is very hard to make a good recomendations in regards to a power up-grade.
The OE 95" kit is lack-luster at best, and no wonder you are in search of more.

Your ride may not even be cammed? With your 95" you can achieve ~100 lb's of tq with 21's, no headwork, a 2n1 and a tune.

It is cammed....I have the original invoice....just doesn't list specific cam. I'll find out tues....and yes, factory 95" leaves much to be desired.

If I was a betting man, I'd bet, that 203's were in it.
Headwork, cam change, and perhaps bore, and that engine WILL have a new personality, if that is the case.

Your RK is geared a bit lower than softails which should help you get along quicker. Your goal was to spend under a $1,000. Including labor? Lets see what the dealer finds. It would be helpful if you had a dyno sheet to see what you are actually experiencing. I may have missed it, is your bike carbed? EFI? What kind of fuel management, ie dealer download, PC? Type of pipes? All this stuff matters and done correctly, collectively also adds to the fun factor. Share as much as you can about your build once you have the dealer info.

5K mile service? What year is the bike? A 95" upgrade would indicate that it's pre '07. 5000 miles seems a tad low for three year old bike.

Anyway, Kuma's correct about the lower gearing if the bike is '07 and later; however, that would be inconsistent with the 95" upgrade; it's already 96". Seems there is a disconect somewhere? Are you upgrading to 103"?

Anyway, '99-'01 HD touring bikes were available with either a carb set up or the MM EFI throttle body. The carb touring Bikes were geared at 3.15 and the MM EFI touring Bikes were geared at 3.37. In 2002 HD introduced the Delphi EFI throttle body and HD went back to the 3.15 gearing for EFI bikes, while the carb bikes continued to run 3.15 gearing as well, so all touring bikes from 2002 to 2006 have 3.15 gearing from the factory.

Hillside's bet on the 203 is probably right; that is the cam included in the Stage II 95" upgrade kit.
