Anyone running a Road Rage 2 into 1 exhaust on a stock or mildly cammed TC88 engine? Did you gain appreciable power from em? I just ordered a set of the black ones & am wondering what kind of actual low end TQ gains I should expect.
Hehe. Yepper Phil, but you have that fire breathin' BB >grin< & I've read (after I ordered the pipes of course) that the RR's do their best work by far w/more cubes/larger cams. I even saw where one guy claims 'overscavenging' (is that a word?) w/mild builds or stock engines.
Funny thing tho, none of the detractors were running Bassani pipes that I recall.....
But of course now I'm wondering how my lil engine will react to these pipes.
Love my Road rage in black!!It gave me noticable gains in mid to top but I havent rejetted yet, that comes this weekend.I have a slight lean condition down low and I think it hampers my out of the hole performance. This pipe sounds sweet,I was running stock pipe with Screaming Eagle mufflers and the sound is much better, and louder. If you dont like em loud, stay away from this pipe!
You bet'cha Phil! I had trouble getting the RR & so cancelled my order. Turns out that was a stroke of luck as I ordered a Fatcat & I couldn't be happier! No wonder the FC is such a popular pipe - AWESOME!
BTW, I started this thread, but not only do I not have the RR's, I don't have an 88" engine now either! >grin!<
Well I just got mine delivered to my door today....so I will give you all the report when I'm done installin them, the PCIII and the SE Intake kit....prolly next week.
They didnt have a download so we decided to try the Thundeheader 2-1 download to start since its a high performance and pretty loud pipe too.
