I ran my Sportster sport on semi synthetic oil and noticed the difference straight away, smoother, cooler and free reving.
Its a big issue in England re synth oil,the general concensus of opinion is that its no good for Harley engines,I dont agree with it and wont go into details here, but being a mechanic to trade I think good lubrication is the key to all things mechanical.
As for the loosen up thing the 97 sport went pretty good at 7000 miles till it was lost to the fire, but the 92 sporty with 27000 on the clock and a patchy service history,no stage one or performance mods, hits 3500 rpm and takes off like a rat up a drain pipe, scares me to death going from 60 to the ton in no time flat, but it just wants to go!
Shovit...What's the definition of a "ton". Sorry, but we don't speak English over here in the Colomies, just American, and "from 60 to a ton" id not an expression with which I am familiar.
If your bike goes 2000 KPH, I wanna see that. (And the road you ride on!) I'd be afraid to ride it. [:-]

Deal. I'll keep a close watch on the mail since you have bug fever now. Sorry but I just can't bring myself to ride down the road with my mouth open. I think I'll just go ahead and eat the brisket tonight. Press right toe down on left lever, let out handle with left hand and GO!!

Hehehe! I'll make sure the check is in the mail if suddenly the bike changes tone and starts floating down the road.
Yes, I agree... All the bike talk is making me want to bust a few bugs.
Man they may not be cool, but I really loved watching my windshield splat a big ole' juicy fat bug the other day, rather then me catching it in the teeth!
Although, it makes for longer riding between meals due to roadsnacks! [8D]
