Default Need Tuning Help

Well I have a problem that I hope somebody can help with. I put Andrews 54H cams in my bike so I took it to be Dyno Tuned. It is an 07 EGlide Classic with V&H True Dual Big Shots, V&H air cleaner kit, PC III, and now the cams. When I got it back from the Tuner he said it only gained 5 HP and 5 TQ, which if that's what it is then ok I guess but he said with that set up I should get between 35 and 40 MPG. It seemed to run ok but my MPG was down to 30 and then I noticed my front head pipe glowing red when running at low speed low RPM. Now my question is should I try a canned map and modify it to fit my set up of just try to modify what's already in the system? The tuner is 2 hours away and can't get me in right away and I am leaving Thursday to go to Fayetville. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as I am in a bit of a bind and really have no experience tuning on these. Thanks for any help.

I'd go to a different tuner, this guy is out of his mind. There's no way you should only be gaining 5/5 with ANY set of cams. The tuner just doesn't know what he's doing. You need to find another one.

I called Power Commander and they made a modified map for my set up and emailed it to me. I compared the two maps and the tuner had a bunch of negative numbersall across the board and the map PC sent me had all positive numbers. My MPG was terrible so I compared numbers and the tuner had me really lean on the low range and really rich at most of the high range. The PC map is richer at the bottom end and leaner at the top but still richer than the stock settings, it runs great now and looking at the numbers it should increase my MPG running down the road. That was one thing I didn't unerstand to begin with is the fact that they come from the factory lean so with cams, high flow air cleaner, and pipes, why would you want to lean it out more from stock settings.
