Pulling the baffles out of my Vance & Hines Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes and replacing them with Big City Thunder baffles for my '12 FatBoy LO. Wonder is they might be a tad louder.
When I had the Big Radius pipes, I bought the BCT QQ baffles. Pretty close to the ones pictured but they have a perforated cone baffle. I installed them 6" into the tail of the pipe (as instructed) and then cut the stock baffles to length to fit behind the BCT baffles to the pipe end. Sounded way better than the "stock" baffle setup. I wouldn't say it was quieter, maybe a tad.. but would say it gave it a better overall tone. The largest overall improvement was installing a V&H Fuelpak. Improved performance and sound. Removed some of the tingy pinging lean fuel sound.
I had to play with the first few settings on the Fuelpak due to a bottom end lag but there is a thread around here somewhere that walks you through it.
Give BCT a call. Ive purchased a few sets from them and they have always been excellent folks to deal with. Great customer service.
