Default motor question

Ok my buddy has a 06 fhlx and I have a 2011 flhx.... Will my 96 inch pistons, jugs and heads work on 88 inch motor with out machining the cases?

An 88 and a 96 are the same bore,the 96 has a longer stroke

Cylinders and heads, yes; pistons no. As pointed out the longer 96" stroke requires a different piston.

No, but your bud can bore his cylinders to 98".
Wiesco manufactures a piston/gasket kit for us.

Also have to do a conversion for the upper motor mount...

Yes we have machined the f/head now, on several occasions, for those.

He was trying to stay away from machining the cases... That would have to be a winter project like my 113 was...

No case machining required, to bore the cylinders to 98".
