The screaming Eagle air cleaner on my 2005 EG Classic came with a K&N filter. I checked last night to be sure. It has pink oil, and K&N stamped on the black rubber seal. It also has a HD emblem on it, and the words for HD Twin Cam only.

K&N has just released a filter to replace the stock filter on 04+ Sportsters.
check the website. However, no word yet on replacements for the SE Filters.

I just got my 2006 Genuine HD Parts Catalog last night and did some research. In the 2005 catalog that I have, the SE Air Cleaner, part number 29773-02A has the K&N filter. This is what I have on my bike. the 2006 Catalog has the SE Air Cleaner, part number 29773-02B. This is new and improved?? blue air cleaner that requires no oil.

If you want a K&N it appears that you will have to find a shop that still has the older SE Air Filters with part number 29773-02A.

I just made a new post about this, but the filter element from the Arlen Ness Big Sucker is a K&N, and it has the exact same measurements and mounting hole positions as the HD paper filter. A parts guy at the HD shop and I measured them to be sure. The K&N was selling for 48.00
