screamin eagle air filter?

hey i could use some help i bought my 1200c used with the se pipes and air cleaner how do i clean it and does it take oil like a k & n filter thanks in advance

Depends on the year of your bike. If it's an 04 and newer the SE filter does not need oiled. It can be washed in the sink with dishsoap and I even used Fantastik spray on the really dirty parts. 03 and older I believehad a K&N filter for the SE filter and those would be oiled.

To add..K&N now makes a replacement filter for the '04 and later SE AC.

sorry its an 05 but it still looks like the oval air filter cover as stock so maybe that isnt a se air filter . how can i tell for sure.

The SE air cleaner for an '05 uses the stock cover, but a different backing plate. If you just have a cover and a basically flat backing plate with a gap between itself and your motor you have the SE air cleaner; if the backing plate is a big bulky thing with just a small opening at the front and that fits right up snug to the cooling fins on your engine you have a stock air cleaner.
