Exclamation Leaking carb problem

I have a super glide with the stock CV carb and it was leaking from the float bowl. I rebuilt the whole thing with new gaskets, accelerator pump, needle, and float guide and it's still leaking. It's leaking around the corner of the float bowl closest to the accelerator pump and the motor. I'm pretty the gaskets are installed correctly and the carb body isn't damaged. It leaks quite a bit, when it sits over night it pools up on the crank case. Any ideas what it could be?

Damaged needle and or seat, float level set to high, float bowl not sealing due to bad gasket and or warped bowl or carb base.

You may have missed putting in all the the seals? Anything left over from the rebuild kit? Perhaps as you assembled, the rubber seal between the bowl and the carb body may have slightly shifted.

If your carb is like mine you should be able to just remove the bowl and check the seal.

Also there is the concern about the float adjustment, debris in the float valve seat or on the rubber tip of the valve. This issue typically leaks out the overflow tube and onto the ground.

Did you check, or reset the float level? Is your float solid? Or could it have gas that was able to seep into it?

Odds are if you need to check the float level setting you have to remove the carb and hold it at a specific angle to set the float correctly.

Seems like every time I work on my carb I have to take it off, sometimes more than once.

I replaced the needle and gasket when I rebuilt the carb.

I was sure to replace all the gaskets when I rebuilt it so that's not the issue.

I'll have to take it off and check the float level, I've seen a few videos on how to adjust the float level so hopefully I can get that done.

Thanks for the replies.

Sometimes the float needs to be replaced, may have A tiny pinhole. Very difficult to find the leak, much easier to replace. Also , even new gaskets can get out of alignment and leak.
