Upper engine noise
I have a 2012 Ultra Classic Limited, 103 motor. After the initial break in oil change, I noticed a clattering type of noise coming from the upper end of the front cyclinder. Other riders have came over and asked about this noise also. I returned back to the dealer and had them test drive it, at about 50 miles per hr and 3000 rpm's it is best heard. They said that since I had them switch to SYN 3 oil, it is probably the thinner oil causing this noise. They offered to change the oil back to the original type for another oil change fee. They said that my motor makes alot more noise than most but not to worry about it. This doesn't give me any comfort for a long ride. I have also began to notice that the air cleaner has oil in it, about 2 tablespoons of free oil inside of the air cleaner. It appears to be coming from the front cyclinder compression release area, the back is dry of oil. Currently I have 2,620 miles on this bike. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
