Ok, so I want to put some custom gas caps on my bike. I have a 2011 Wide Glide fuel injected (don't know if that matters) and I want to put a set of caps on from Choppers Inc. that are listed to fit up to a 1999 dual tank.
I realize I will lose the fuel gauge and have seen the modification using a tennis ball to put the left side cap in. The right side cap is vented and the left side is non vented. Left hand and right hand thread caps.
I have been told that the vent in the bung will need to be disconnected? Is this accurate? If so what exactly is it that I need to do?
Also, the wires for the fuel gauge? Can I run them to an aftermarket gauge? Any suggestions on that?
