Thanks in advance for the help. I have a buddy who has this cam (54h) sitting in his garage after pulling them out do to a full motor build. They only ahev about 500 mile son them and he is going to give me a great deal. My question is I have a 2011 Wide Glide and not sure this cam would be an ok choice. I currently have 2into2 big radius, rsd air cleaner and the sert tuned on a dyno at local dealer. I would like to get some more power in the 0-60mph range if I could I am not saying thats the only area I will be running in but thats probably where the majority of my riding is at. Any suggestions/advice. I am also considering just getting a different cam all together but this one I can get for a great deal and if it will get me what I am looking for that would be two birds with one stone.
JMHO but unless you intend to pull the heads, deck for compression, install with a .030" head gasket and install adjustable push rods; the 54 will be a dog in a stock TC96. Intake close is 42*.
For a cam only upgrade, you need a cam with an intake close much earlier. The Andrews 48 is a great bolt in cam for an other wise stock TC96. Upgrade the inner cam bearings while you are in the cam chest; get a good tune and I think you will be pleased with the results. I recently installed a set of 48s in a buddy's Stage I '10 Fatboy and he is over the moon with the results.
Sweet thanks for advice just what I was looking for.
