Andrews 21N, if you are doing a cam set conversion with new roller chains and a 2007 and up cam plate. This upgrade will get you the new hydraulic chain tensioners to get away from the spring loaded tensioners. If no cam plate conversion, the 21's of the standard version will do. Check the Andrews website for the exact camshaft number for a direct replacement without the plate upgrade.
The 21N is close to stock, but pulls like a freight train on the bottom end. They work great with the 88" and the minimal upgrades you have already done.
Aren't you glad you asked; already have three to choose from. I would throw the S&S 551 into the mix as well. Stick around and you will get some more suggestions.
EDIT: The Redshift 525 I another option; getting a headache yet??
the .551 is a very nice cam set,we just set it at a little higher compression than stock.if he`s planning on playing with the heads/compression,the .551`s would be a great choice.ill throw the S&S .583`s in the mix too
I've had a set of S&S 583s for little over a month. Running a 2008 96 with V&H Big Shots controlled by a Power Commander. My mechanic found a close map from the Dynojet web site and it's made a huge difference in both the throttle kick and in the fuel consumption. (Both went up considerably). Says that if I should desire to do any other tweaks to the motor, the cams should work going forward.
This was the first set he installed and is pleased with the results. He has used other S&S cams with excellent results as well.
