Default Cold start problems w/ Se 255 cams

Hey guys this is my first post even though I've read a lot of advise from here for awhile. I have a 2010 FLHX that I upgraded to a stage II 103 when I did the kit I installed a 2into 1 pro pipe and the factory download (put 13,000 miles on like this) This past summer I installed a thundermax tuner and a set of v&h power duals but now when it's cold 30 and below it wants to kick back on the starter like crazy and I had the bike tuned by a local thundermax tuner and the performance is awesome 91hp and 105 ftlbs but the starting issue is still there. My local HD dealer wants $800 to do compression releases and the thundermax guy wants to install new redshift 575 cams for $1000. I'm at a loss as I don't want to waste money or lose the power that it's putting out now on different cams. I did buy a accel super coil but I don't get home from Alaska until April so I can't test that until then.

There are different options for better starting......either do compression reliefs ($800 is **** ton of money just for compression reliefs that I assume also includes the labor of taking off and putting on the heads) or you can swap your cam for some S&S EZ-Start cams ( go for around $400 and you can pick a badass cam w/ reliefs built in).

Yes that's labor included also. I just don't want to do a cam change and lose any power it seems to run so good right now. But I do think the guy that tuned the bike is partial to zippers product like HD is to there own stuff and just haven't read enough good reviews on the 575 cams. So maybe I'll look into the S&S cams.

By getting the EZ start cams you won't need the mess with compression reliefs in the heads. Check'em out. I doubt they would loose any power, you'd probably gain.
