I was talking with some guys last night about cat removal and warranty. One guy told me that one of the region HD dealerships will remove them for $300 and that they recommend it to lower heat.
Do any of you guys know anything about cat removal and whether or not it affects your warranty?
Dealer does not do it. Normally works like this. They know someone that can help.
You drop off your headers and they either hand you a set that have been done or return yours in a day or two done for a fee that was changed by Bubba the welder guy.
So The dealer broke no law. Standard fee around here was $130. I have two gutted ones in my bike room now.
My question is, must I retune after removing the cat if I change nothing else? Seems everyone has a different opinion so it's impossible to know for sure.
