you are right, there is no fire, but it did smoke and kicked back, but this is all the bike does after I refreshed the carburetor and the circuit breaker.
Know we are spinning wheels but your other post is in the new members welcome area.

Search up top left Forums, Classics Flathead and start your original post over including video.

To me fire meant it was sparking and getting enough fuel to pop a little with smoke. I did not hear it pop in the video.

I was just trying to figure if it was fuel or electricial. Have you checked compression?

Is that been restored? It looks like it just rolled off the assembly.

OK here is what I see going wrong form the video, you are not kicking her nearly hard enough. Not a 250 single. You need to get the motor spinning. Kick her like you don't like her. Here is my cold starting procedure:

Choke closed
Timing advanced
Full throttle
Ignition off
Two or Three vigorous kicks

Then to start:

1/4 Choke
Timing advanced
1/4 throttle
Ignition on
Kick vigorously

Should start right up with one or two hot kicks. No reason to retard the timing on a 45, and not recommended per the manual. Good luck.
