Default XP and New Forum

Can we no longer post with XP?

Tried to place ad using my desktop and XP. It won't let me go any further than posting the title. Won't allow any typing in the body of the post! Won't allow me to reply to any post using XP either.

Thanks... Red

It does that to me also with windows 7. I read on here about it not working with moxilla / firefox so I have to use google chrome. Its the browser not the operating system for me. The thing I really hate is the drop down menu from the top and bottom. It takes up most of the screen and comes and goes when scrolling with the mouse.

I'm using Firefox. Guess they changed something because it worked fine in the past. Don't know how to change browsers so guess I'm screwed!

I can send PMs and respond to them, but can't post or reply on Forums.

Thanks...

Found the issue to be uBlock and not Firefox or XP! Turned uBlock off and everything works, but takes forever to load the pages now!

It does seem larger, and now a PgDn button goes down more than a page. I have to use the down arrow to see all the postings, as the PgDn button cuts off one entry. GO BACK TO THE OLD WAYS !!!!

Frankly, if you're still using XP, you're playing with fire. Microsoft does not update XP (or Vista) anymore so you are very susceptible to malware.

I do have an old XP machine that I don't connect to the net. But it's as slow as molasses, completely useless.

If I did not do weekly malware scans, you would be correct. I use Malwarebytes every week, and have not found any suspicious programs in years. I only visit a handful of sites every day, so my exposure is minimal. My machine is a 3.36Ghz Lenovo/IBM ThinkPad G41 laptop, and it runs like it was new. I guess I've been lucky.

I use Windows 7, Firefox and uBlock. Everything works fine. Just see a few relatively minor changes.

Check this thread, seems it's an issue with some browser/ad-blocker/antivirus combinations.

Why is it that I now have to "log in" every time I visit the site ?
