Default Caliper rebuild kits
I need to rebuild my calipers especially the fronts. I read that Harley wants like $80 for the couple o-rings and couple seals per caliper! Oh, and maybe a small squeeze tube of lube. My question to those who have done the job, is this true that Harley wants that kind of $$for something so small? What is an alternative shop/store to get the rebuild kits? Thanks for your replies.

Knowledge is power! You can see the asking price for such things by using a parts website where you will see that for that money you get new pistons and O rings etc. Doesn't sound so bad now.......

I bought a rebuild kit from Harley a couple years ago and it wasn't that much if I recall correctly.

My pleasure! There are several others, but that is my current favourite. They occasionally go through unexpected changes, but last time I looked this one covers the most model years.

You should notice that you can get the 44315-00A Seal Kit for $16.29 ea. List ... presuming your pistons are OK


.

Yep ... No need to replace pistons if they are not corroded / pitted
