Anyone running these shocks ? I've had them on the bike 03 Dyna for about a month now and I don't think they're as good as OEM. Maybe I don't have them set right but man I feel every bump on the road ! I wish I had kept the originals on, any comments ?
Ive been running 13.5" stilettos on my "11 Dyna Wide Glide and like them way better than the OEM shocks. I cant say I have thousands of miles on a multitude of bikes and shocks, but Im 6'2 and 300lbs and I could feel everything before. I attribute a lot of it to the extra 1" of lift it added. They look badass on my bike for sure. I switch the OEM shocks back and forth between 4 and 5 it never felt right and would bottom out. I have my burly's at 3 and its like riding on a cloud. If you do decide to take them off and want to sell em, hit me up. How tall are they? 2011 Dyna Wide Glide. Scorpian Lockup Clutch, Fueling 543 reaper cams, Thunder Header Bronze Ceramic coated, Memphis Shades fairing, Burly 13.5" Stilettos, Mustang Saddle.
Sitting on bike showing 12 1/2 inch Stiletto's. I feel very little resistance from the shocks.
You almost look as if your bottoming out. They seem awfully soft. Whats the preload set at? I have mine at 3, which is soft for my weight, but the extra inch of height over the stock 12 1/2" adds a lot more travel.

The only user adjustment I know of is the preload. I know that Burley Brand is Progressive and have the Progressive Spring design. There are 2 different springs in each shock and Progressive offers different strength springs for those. Call Progressive, if you bought them new, they're still under warranty. If not, theyll be able to help you get it worked out. Keep in mind that your front shocks play a part in all of this. I have Progressive heavy duty springs in my forks. Sorry I couldnt be of any more help.
