what are forks made of?

the fork tubes. I want to get them anodized and they tell me the can do "extruded/billet/machined aluminum, die cast wont work. "
So will the tubes be able to be anodized? Or should I go with a powder coat? (not the sliders, the tubes)

I have anidized colors we powder with. requires the item to be polished first so it costs more cause i have to buff them first, but in the end they look spot on to anidized

Joe, sorry but you are wrong on the fork tube thing. Fork tubes are steel. You can not anodize steel. You also can not powder coat fork tubes either because the bushings ride up and down on them. You can coat the fork tubes with hard chrome, shinny polished chrome (not recommend), DLC (Diamond Like Carbon), and Titanium nitride (TiN).
