I've been waiting on my Samson true duals and finally got them in. install wasn't too bad just a few trial and error stuff, I've never installed/ uninstalled any exhaust system before but it went pretty smooth. until I came to combining the left muffler to the head pipe, it'll only go so far and won't align the muffler with the bracket holes that it mounts to, it needs to come in about an inch more. i've tried pushing it in even more bit it not budging so I then tried filing the head pipe in hopes that maybe it'll thin some of the chrome layer and it'll slide in further but still no. so now I'm thinking as a last*resort*i'm gonna have to cut a piece off a the head pipe in order to slide it in the distance I need, but before I do that i'd like to ask you guys for any info or tips you have to help me out. they are also the 33in slash cut mufflers and would doing this noticeably shorten the length? any info would be appreciated. thanks.
Here is a step by step with pictures. I got mine second hand so this was real helpful without the instructions. Witch are on the site I found out. But I found this more useful. http://www.hotbikeweb.com/fishtail-t...ails/?image=12

Hi Mayo92,
I'm pretty sure it is you that I have been talking to via email to help you get that rear pipe and muffler installed correctly.
Whatever you do, don't cut the rear pipe. Use some type of penetrating oil on that rear muffler inlet where it is notched and it should allow it to slide in to the position you need it to. If by chance you tightened the barrel clamp down and the notches are extremely tight, I would remove the rear pipe from the Upipe and slide the muffler inlet over the head pipe and gently wiggle it to loosen up the notched portion of the muffler inlet. This will give you the room you need to slide the muffler easily over the rear head pipe.
If you have gotten this far you're doing a great job especially considering this is your first time uninstalling or installing an exhaust system on your bike. Also this is the most difficult installations out of all the systems I have installed which is pretty much everything we manufacture.
Sometimes it's better to take a step back and take a break for a minute and then continue.
You're almost there and if you need any more help just send as many emails as you would like until you complete the installation. You can send pictures as well if you need to.
Get the head pipes lined and tightened, then slide that muffler on and and give it some pressure up and down and then left and right. each time you do this it will open the inlet up a bit. It's harder than you think but a little bit will go along way. You can also take a 2x4 and a hammer to the end cap and gently tap it further on.
Careful with the hammer. First check the muffler for any “Burrs” that may be inside and causing the problem. Also don’t forget what the header pipe is connected to before you apply too much pressure or “Wiggle” to it. If your still are having trouble take the muffler to a muffler shop and have them open up the pipe (just a little), should be free if you talk nice.
