paint touch ups

Hi guys, I have a new-to-me police road king. Being a police model, it has little nicks, etc, in the paint various places.

Is there anyway to fill these in? Or at least remove the "pit" so that I have a level surface to spray down with something like plasti-dip?

No, not plasti dip! I know.

It just takes multiple layers or paint. Take your time. Might be 4 or 5 coats.

HD touch up paint is decent and includes clear coat.

Yes HD touch up is great, good color match and thin enough to apply thin coats.

OK, I'll pick up some touch up paint. I'll still be dipping it, to re-do the look. I just want to leave the factory paint underneath should I ever sell it.

Give that paint some some time to cure before you dip. It may just pull it out when you peel your dip.

If you haven't gone to the forums at www.dipyourcar.com yet, you will find threads about dipping over fresh paint. Great dipping reference.

Yeah, I'll let it cure. I mainly want it nice and clean so that once I have the chance/time to dip it, it looks good.

Touch Up

I do some detail work on the side and I have a couple of suggestions. Use a small brush from a Hobby store.The chip will look the best if it's level or slightly below your paint job. Collision SERVICES sells a product called Touch Up.sticks. They are amazing to use. If you shoot weapons they are great for getting the gunk out.
