Ride them both, look at them and see which one looks the best to you and then decide for yourself.
But like Paw said, why are you concerned on the resale now? An older bike isn't going to sell as well as a newer one, not to me anyway.

Thanks for all the useful information. RHPAW, that site didnt work. Maybe you mistyped it?
It was just a general question guys. FYI, I have been on both. They are a coin toss to me. Plan on keeping it for about two years before moving up to a Road King with a smaller bike on the side.
