Default Help With Dang connector!!

What's the trick to getting pins out of this connector?

You should be able to poke a paper clip in the holes next to the pins to release them. Also, I think that a release is in the larger square holes to allow the the cover to be pushed back, but am not completely sure.
Tools for connectors are available at Radio Shack and auto parts stores.

Use a set of needle nose pliers in the two holes in the middle. Pull out and you will hear a click. Then use a pin extractor tool (paper clip) and put it in the little hole next to each pin until you feel a slight click. Pull the pin out.

In the appendix of the service manual, there are pictures to go along with the instructions for removal.

There was an excellent article in the July 2013 issue of American Iron that gave instructions on releasing each type of pin connector. It may be available online. I will scan it at work tomorrow and if it isn't online, PM me and I'll find a way to send a copy.
