Default 2007 FLHTC and FLHTCU Question

What would/could be the difference between the FLHTC and the FLHTCU that would make the 4-point docking system different for each? I am looking for a docking system for my '07 FLHTCU and only find them for the FLHTC. What is the difference?

Have you seen a p/n for an Ultra-specific kit? There is no difference between those two other than additional electrical harnesses on the Ultra as far as I can tell. The whole rear end is the same.

The only thing I can figure is that while they do not call out the FLHTC as non-fitting, the description mentions every bike that doesn't come standard with a Tour Pak. The quick detach kit would involve removing hardware and installing a Q-D mount to the Tour Pak for bikes that have them, rather than simply bolt-on for the E-Glide standard, Road King, and Road Glide.

53803-06 and 53804-06 work on an Ultra.

pp6000v2,
Thanks for the info. I've been looking on the e-crap site but found out I could get the kit from the Moco for a mere $59.99. They told me it was the position of a couple bolts. I already have the bracket for the bottom of the Tour pak...

Make sure your TP bracket is using just the 2 forward (53803-06) or two rear points (53804-06). My (older?) style TP mount uses the furthest rear point on the Rear kit, and the furthest forward point on the Front kit. But with both kits installed, I can use my passenger backrest (uses front 2 points) and luggage rack (uses back 2 points) simultaneously.

So your saying if I have my passenger backrest w/luggage rack that uses the front two points and my Tourpak uses the rear two points, then I should put both sets to be able interchange them as I please? That sounds like a super way to utilize all my parts...

Thanks...BB
