Default Another one bites the dust!

Idiot driver cut me off at 50+ and I slammed into the person. I went flying over the car hitting the ground and I was dazed and confused. I don't remember the person fleeing the scene so I might have blacked out not sure. Luckily a few passing motorists stopped to assist helping get my helmet off and jack. A fellow motorcyclist stopped to help as well. Can't believe that low life human fled the scene not caring if I were alive or dead!

I'm ok, a little banged up and sore, but ok. My bike, got thrashed up but it'll get fixed soon and I'll be back out there.

BE SAFE YOU ALL!

Friend of mine woke up in an intersection south of Atlanta with cars driving around him and the bike laying nearby. Said he was able to call 911, and nobody stopped before the police got there, even though it was morning rush hour with continuous traffic. Cop told him it was obvious he'd been rear ended pretty hard, and the car must have been damaged, but it was never found. Amazing how many folks will leave someone laying in the street because they don't want to get involved. He gave up riding to work, and about a year later was killed in his car; it really sucks, we're not safe in anything, let alone on a bike. I just try to be careful and hope for the best, but know it's often just a matter of circumstance beyond your control - even if you give up two wheels for four.

Glad you didn't have gory pics to post like some of the guys here, sounds like you were real lucky.

I was just talking to a semi driver who didn't have an accident for 30 years. This year he was rear ended, in his car, at a stoplight. And hit by a semi driver with 3 weeks experience. ( While on his tractor- trailer). Both probably caused by texting or reading their smartphone browsers. Ride like you invisible. People don't even see semis anymore.

Good to hear that you are OK. You better see a doctor and take it easy for awhile.

Glad to hear you're doing Okay, Idolno.

I think people who flee the scene like that should, amongst other things, have their DLs taken away permanently. It's the ultimate display of irresponsibility and neglect.

Hope they find 'em, even if the chances might be slim.

Heal fast.
