Just bought a non running '79 sporty custom. Can't get fire to plugs. This bike has very basic wiring. Right now just a headlite for accessories. Can someone give me a very very basic outline of just the wiring to start this bike?? It is key start only, 12 volt system with points.

 

Actually, there's a variety of things that could be wrong..............bad plugs, bad points ornot adjusted right, bad condensor,pinched/broken wire at the handlebar switch was common on these things, bad ignition switch was another problem, or again, pinched/broken wire............should be able to pick up a service manual for it.
