Default Wish Me Luck

Tomorrow Im attending the Experienced MSF Course which is required to ride my bike on post here at Fort Polk. Ive never attended a Motorcycle Course and Im not sure how my 16" Apes are going to do. LOL. they dont offer a beginners course on post and I know guys who have never ridden before that have passed the Experienced course. We shall see tomorrow though. I just cant wait till I can legally ride my scoot to work! WoHOO! Any pointers for those who have attended a course like these.

PS. Its free on post!

You'll be fine. Just remember your countersteering...I have 16" apes and can maneuver very well.

I'll be taking the ERC myself next month. Ther is an article in the May issue of American Iron about the ERC. Tells you pretty much what to expect. The only thing that sounds weird about the coarse is that they make you do a one handed cone weave. The coarse starts with a couple hours in a classroom going over everything you will be doing out on the tarmac.
You should do fine. Good luck!

I just took it last week after riding for over 45 years. It was not as hard as I though it would be. I did learn a few things, or should I say unlearn a few bad habits.

The instructor said the one handed cone weave was optional. I did do it. You will do fine. Good Luck.

I think the worst part of the whole thing is that you said you are stationed at Fort Polk! I spent three painful years there in the early nineties, definately saw enough of Leesville, Deridder, and the surrounding area. Good luck on the course and a quick PCS!
