I just installed it and it is kind of a pita to get started. I put in a test ride to see how it does and it does have some perks. Unlike most of the navigation apps, this one can be customized for the road you want to use and it can be synced to your phone GPS.

We use Riding Social. It's made by Butler Maps, so cool rides are color coded, plans can be made online, shared with friends, used as a GPS, posted on Social Media and you can record your ride routes for future use.
I use it exclusively. One of the easiest I've found and also one of the few that when I change a route by dragging to another road, the route downloads to my Garmin that way. Others will not record the changes you make between the destinations you plug in. I'm talking about using it on my computer. Haven't tried creating a route on the mobile app but us it to view the routes I've created on the pc.

I just tried the ride planner and to me it looks just like google maps. the difference I see is that ride planner shows where the HD dealers are. I did not find it easier to use. I do like Google as it will import into a smartphone with a gmail account
